The Challenge

Diversity is an increasingly urgent challenge for international political agendas, recognized as a key factor for finding new answers to the crisis and promoting growth in Italy (A. Sen 2000, M. Ferrera 2008, A. Casarico e P. Profeta 2010, M. Draghi 2011), in companies living in the country ("SDA Bocconi Observatory on Diversity Management" 2009-2011), and its citizens. 

Our Mission: "Promoting diversity to liberate talent" 

With changing economic and social scenarios, the ability to listen to diversity and integrate it into personal and professional identities has become:

• a necessary skill for becoming actors aware of the current setting
• an opportunity for personal enrichment
• a source of competitive advantage for companies and institutions

P&D promotes the development of a community which is aware and attuned to diversity in terms of gender, age, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, responsibilities, social and professional class, etc., supporting the role of Università Bocconi in this area as a propelling force for society and a breeding ground for talent and innovation.

Objectives

To contribute to the creation of a socio-economic context which integrates diversity into the values and behavior of individuals, companies and institutions, P&D has the following objectives:

• listen to and share experiences
• encourage knowledge and cultural enrichment
• promote substantial action both in individuals and in companies and institutions to support diversity
